The county’s southernmost Hudson River towns have a bounty of farms and wineries, including the oldest continually operated vineyard in America. To the west, rugged hills with pristine aquifers fall eastward to form the fertile Lattintown Valley, abundant with fruit and vegetable farms, farm stands, and pick-your-own places.

On Saturdays, early summer through fall, the Heart of the Hudson Valley Farmers Market at Cluett Schantz Memorial Park in Milton brings in the goods from the field for your table.

While in Milton, check out the beautiful Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa; the newly refurbished Milton Riverfront Park, which includes a restored 1885 train station and marina; and the Sarah Hull Hallock Library.

Other must-sees: Gomez Mill House, the oldest Jewish dwelling in North America; Racoon Saloon, located in a building dating to the mid-1800s; and The Falcon, a music venue overlooking Marlboro Falls that attracts world-class performances.

Whether you want art and entertainment, culinary delights, or rest and relaxation, you’ll find it here.
