Valerie’s paintings explore new freedoms in interpreting form in terms of the organic shapes and elements found in nature. She uses paint in a manner which best reflects the tapestry of the many textures exhibited in the earth’s landscape. Color is applied as a means to unite these features and to show relationships between the vividness and subtleties expressed in every part of our environment, and yet attain visual harmony.
