About Denning
Because of Denning’s location inside Catskill Park, people are drawn to the heavily wooded hamlets of Claryville, Sundown and Peekamoose.
Located in Sundown Wild Forest within the Catskill Forest Preserve, Peekamoose Blue Hole is a unique natural feature of the Rondout Creek, part of the New York City drinking water watershed. Parking is extremely limited. Users are required to take out trash that is brought in. Stewards are on site. Visit or contact Catskill Interpretive Center for more info.
NOTE: Permits to access the Blue Hole and the Peekamoose Table Trail are now required every day from May 15th until September 15th Permits can be obtained for $10 on the Reserve America website at: https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/peekamoose-blue-hole/NY/5935/overview
