The small village of Ellenville is a big draw for Wawarsing, where visitors can enjoy free and famous cultural events, plus all kinds of outdoor activities.
Preserving the knife-making heritage of the Ellenville-Walden region as a major knife-making center for over one-hundred years. Along with local historical items, the museum houses one of the largest collections of knives in the country, many of which were made in the Hudson Valley. Guides are available to explain the displays and special knife sharpening events are held. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is free.
