About Senate House State Historic Site

Guided tours of the furnished historic house where New York's first Senate met. Museum featuring the world's largest collection of John Vanderlyn paintings, objects and documents of the 17th - 19th centuries. Picnic in the park-like setting, enjoy numerous special events and activities. Open April 15 - October 31, Wednesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and by appointment. Site also open Memorial, Independence and Labor Day holidays. Tours for groups and school programs year-round by appointment.
