About Peekamoose Blue Hole, Sundown Wild Forest Preserve

Located in Sundown Wild Forest within the Catskill Forest Preserve, Peekamoose Blue Hole is a unique natural feature of the Rondout Creek, part of the New York City drinking water watershed. Parking is extremely limited. Users are required to take out trash that is brought in. Stewards are on site. Visit or contact Catskill Interpretive Center for more info.
*NOTE: Visitors are required to obtain a permit on weekends and holidays from May 15-Oct. 15 available online from Reserve America. Limited number of daily permits issued. Permits must be acquired at least 24 hours and not more than one week in advance.
