Whether you’re hitting the slopes or exploring the lively City of Kingston – which features a wide array of LGBTQ+ owned and allied shops, restaurants and bars in its Uptown, Midtown and Rondout Districts – New York State Pride Ski Weekend offers something for everyone!

A short drive from Belleayre Mountain there are countless additional communities that serve as destinations for the LGBTQ+ community, including Big Indian, Phoenicia and Mt. Tremper for attendees to explore.

 

Community Impact

Events like New York State Pride Ski Weekend are vital for ensuring queer visibility and strengthening businesses and organizations that serve LGBTQ+ people, particularly in the greater New York region. Proceeds from the event will benefit the LGBTQ+ serving organizations involved, directly supporting the essential work they do in communities throughout New York State.

Building on the success of last year’s first-ever New York Pride Ski Weekend, which saw over 150 queer community members come together for the event, this year promises to be even more fabulous by featuring three days of events both on and off the mountain.

‘Snow’ Your Pride Celebration

Attendees are encouraged to show their Pride with a special pride glide down the mountain at 1pm on Saturday afternoon.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Enjoy prime conditions across Belleayre’s extensive trails, perfect for all skill levels. Don’t own your own equipment? Have no fear, New York State Pride Weekend passes have optional equipment rentals available on the mountain.

Group Ski Lessons

New to skiing or snowboarding? Join friendly group sessions to sharpen your skills.

Warm up on the slopes with live music, cocktails, and socializing at the lodge.

How To Get Here

To make the mountain even easier for all to enjoy, New York State Pride Ski Weekend can be easily accessed via public transportation from Manhattan, with Ulster County offering free shuttle bus service between select host hotels in the City of Kingston and Belleayre Mountain. This will allow attendees to take the Adirondack Trailways Bus or Amtrak from New York City to Kingston or Rhinecliff, respectively.
