Sugaring Off: 18th Century Style

men and woman dressed in 18th century costumes and gathered near fire pit

Stop by Senate House  for live demonstrations of boiling maple sap down to syrup, meat smoking, and hearthside cooking. The 1st Ulster Militia will also be on site re-enacting 18th century camp life while Nick Martin from Minnewaska State Park Preserve will be making maple candy for visitors to enjoy. There will be hands on crafts for visitors of all ages, and musical entertainment will be provided by Storm King Skyline with performances at 12:00PM and 2:00PM. This a free family-friendly event!
