The Historical Society of Woodstock is pleased to announce a screening of the historical film Calico Rebellion. Calico Rebellion recounts the story of the Anti-Rent War, which took place in the Catskill Mountains in the 1840s, when thousands of farmers, disguised in masks and gowns, organized a broad-scale rebellion to protest the outdated and exploitive feudal practices of elite, absent landlords.
