This Independence Day, Friends of the Walkway invites the community to experience the City of Poughkeepsie 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular from the world’s longest elevated pedestrian bridge. Secure your perch 212 feet above the Hudson River, eye level with the dazzling display before you. This year’s celebration takes on special significance as communities across the nation commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
