SUMMARY:Indian Slide Guitar: Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya & Suryadipta Bhattacharya & Samir Chatterjee
DESCRIPTION:World renowned virtuoso Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya has pioneered the Hindustani slide guitar and is the undisputed master of this demanding technique. With a career spanning over 45 years\, Debashish has performed live and recorded with Ustad Zakir Hussain\, Pandit Ravi Shankar\, John McLaughlin (who said that Debashish “has no equal” among slide guitarists)\, Jerry Douglas\, Derek Trucks and many other renowned musicians. \nThrough exhaustive research and experience\, he has designed and patented four guitars for raga music all played lap style\, with a small steel bar and finger picks: Chaturangui\, a 24-string hollow-neck lap steel guitar that blends the features of a sitar\, sarod\, and veena; Gandharvi\, a 14-string slide instrument; Anandi\, a 4-string lap steel ukulele/mandolin and Pushpa Veena\, a 25-string slide instrument featuring an animal-skin top. \nIn the venerable Indian tradition of families passing artistic skill down through generations\, Debashish’s son Suryadipta has developed impressive musicianship under his father’s tutelage and will join his father for this event.

SUMMARY:Artist Talk: Iain Machell - SECOND NATURE
DESCRIPTION:All my work begins with observation from nature. I want to know what lies behind the forms and textures –the marks of time and experience written into everything from fossils and rock formations to plants and trees. \nMy drawings and sculptures are partners in crime and dancing partners. Drawing involves investigative mark-making and sculpture is a form of physical thinking. The combination is a material proposition that invites you to look at the world in a completely different way\, to escape words and communicate in a physical way. \nRather than working realistically\, I’d rather look beneath the surface to observe raw energy and a struggle. The forces of growth and decay\, pressure\, time\, and adverse human influences work their way into the tension between 2D and 3D. I don’t want to imitate nature\, I would rather interrogate it. – Iain Machell 2026

SUMMARY:Amélie Farren\, Lilith Max & Rabbitology
DESCRIPTION:AMÉLIE FARREN \nAmélie Farren started writing songs at twelve because she needed somewhere to put things. That hasn’t changed. At 18\, she writes alt-pop songs that are specific enough to make a listener feel like they’re inside a moment or feeling they know well\, but never had words for. \nLILITH MAX \nLilith Max is a master of storytelling\, weaving tales of enchantment and whimsy. Her fantasy-folk-inspired music pulls the audience into a world of knights\, myths\, and magic\, giving listeners room for their imagination to roam free. \nRABBITOLOGY \nEveryone has their own world. Fragments of moments lived\, translated and understood through metaphor and storytelling. Rabbitology is the project of Nat Timmerman—a world that was pulled from her odd-running mind. A little land of the harebrained and burrowing. Venture into these eclectic soundscapes\, and here you will discover a collection of memoirs turned into fantastical sonic short stories.

SUMMARY:MET: Così fan tutte (Mozart)
DESCRIPTION:The Met: Live in HD season kicks off with Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love\, one of the composer’s most sublime creations. Phelim McDermott’s “colorful\, inventive” (The New York Times) staging\, inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s\, sets the uproarious story at a boardwalk amusement park\, where the two pairs of lovers at the heart of the tale find themselves on one emotional—and literal—thrill ride after another.

SUMMARY:Margaret Glaspy
DESCRIPTION:In an era of excess and endless distraction\, the New York-based singer/songwriter Margaret Glaspy rejects the noise in favor of something far more essential. On the self-possessed title track for her new album I Am Both Glaspy offers an ardent refusal of any outside pressure to compromise her multidimensionality. “I wrote ‘I Am Both’ a while ago; the story is based on a female character that I look up to deeply—a woman who contains multitudes while seeing reality very clearly\,” says Glaspy. “It can feel safer to try to fit myself into a category\, but I find that embracing my own complexity is much healthier for me.” That embrace of complexity runs throughout the album’s eleven tracks. \n

SUMMARY:Angelo De Augustine w/ Erin Rae
DESCRIPTION:Angelo De Augustine returns with Angel in Plainclothes\, his fifth album and most inspired work yet—a deeply felt rendering of his multi-year journey of healing and renewal. The record showcases De Augustine’s powerful melodies and poignant lyrics across tracks like the haunting elegy “Empty Shell\,” the hopeful “Spirit of the Unknown\,” and standout psychedelic country piece “Mirror Mirror.” Themes explore life’s fragility\, second chances\, and picking up the pieces after an undiagnosed illness forced him to re-learn basic abilities: “I’m trying to figure out who I am now\,” De Augustine says. “I feel like I may have been given a second chance at life\, and I’d like to live it.”

SUMMARY:Of Paper and Plate: Contemporary Art at Market Basket Delicatessen
DESCRIPTION:For three days during O+ Festival Kingston 2026\, Site Seen brings contemporary art into an unexpected setting: a working deli in the heart of Uptown Kingston. \nPresented in collaboration with O+\, Of Paper and Plate brings together 14 contemporary artists inside Market Basket Delicatessen. Rather than transforming the deli into a gallery\, the exhibition allows the two to coexist. The counter stays open\, lunch gets made\, customers come and go\, and art enters a space already in motion. \nTaking its title from two familiar objects\, paper and plate\, the exhibition invites artists to consider their material\, cultural and associative possibilities while responding to a place never designed for the presentation of art. \nPresented by Site Seen in collaboration with O+ as part of O+ Festival Kingston 2026. \nFree and open to the public.
