The Anchorage Restaurant, located at 182 Canal Street in Eddyville, NY on the Roundout Creek, has long been known as a haunted and mysterious location.

Built in the 1800’s on the Delaware and Hudson Canal, the brick building has survived a town wide fire, and multiple floods. An apparition of a “Man in a Top Hat” has been seen many times in the bar area by patrons and staff alike. There have been reported occurrences of disembodied voices, and seeing shadows and spirits, by the Martin Family, who have lived in the building and owned and operated the Anchorage since the 1950’s, as well as being seen by Patrons and Staff of the restaurant. Many staff refuse to go into the basement as it is also known to be the location of many haunted occurrences.

The Anchorage Restaurant situated in the picturesque Hudson Valley, on the Roundout Creek, along the D & H Canal is located not far from Kingston NY. It is known by locals for its delicious food, warm atmosphere and for the occasional spooky or haunting occurrence.
