Ida began in Brooklyn in 1993 with Daniel Littleton and Elizabeth Mitchell making 4 track recordings in their apartment and sharing the tapes with their friends. Since then they have released several critically acclaimed and much loved indie classics including “I Know about You” (1996) released on legendary indie label Simple Machines and “Lovers Prayers” (2008) which was recorded at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock.
