A family-friendly event with all-day activities both days! Enjoy the High Falls Flea Market, set up in front of the museum; a Canawler’s scavenger hunt with prizes; a souvenir photo op; the historic “Pie Lock” pie, kids’ games- Bilge Your Boat & Tip the Barge; and the 1889 High Falls Postal Wagon will be on display. There will be food available for purchase on-site. At 11:00am, Museum Educator, Nancy Bachana will read from her book, The Key to Puzzler’s Lock and at 2:00pm there will be a free a guided tour of the Five Locks (or the museum if it is raining).
Saturday we will feature a coopering demonstration by John Cox in the morning, and wagon rides, pulled by the towpath mules, Dolly & Daisy starting at noon. At 1:00pm, there will be music by the Continental Drift Band, with dancer Leighann Kowalsky demonstrating the Irish kitchen jig.
